Shaori and Abuli Fortresses stand proudly within the Ninotsminda Municipality of Javakheti.

Dating back millennia B.C., these two structures represent remarkable examples of Georgian megalithic architecture. Their awe-inspiring locations and the monumental size of their stone constructions leave visitors in admiration. Particularly noteworthy is the grandeur of Abuli Fortress.

While commonly referred to as "fortresses," the true purpose of these ancient edifices remains partially shrouded in mystery.

Shaori Fortress perches atop the peak of Shaori Mountain, rising to an elevation of 2750 meters (9022 feet) above sea level, while Abuli Fortress occupies the slope of Patara Abuli (Little Abuli) Mountain, at approximately 2670 meters (8760 feet) above sea level.

Embark on a hike with Bisna to explore these enigmatic millennia-old megalithic structures of Javakheti and unravel their mysteries.
